REAL WEDDING: Jaclyn + Alex, Rhinegeist Brewery

We kicked off our 2019 wedding season in March w/ a beautiful wedding at Rhinegeist Brewery for Jaclyn + Alex. Robin McKerrell shared some images on her blog this week + I could not wait to get them on the EFC blog.

Where do I even begin w/ Jaclyn + Alex? When I met Jaclyn for our consultation I asked her if she wanted to have a glass of wine at one of my favorite spots in the city, 1215 Wine + Coffee. Our consultation started off about the wedding + quickly turned into a look into our personal lives, we shared our love of wine + food + then it seems like our friendship took off from there.

With her NYC roots + Alex’s Michigan upbringing it seems like it was fate that we met. Jaclyn wanted to showcase + share some of Cincinnati’s history for all of the out of town guests at an iconic location, but little bits of home were tied in to the day as well. The day was relaxed, casual + effortlessly chic. Did I mention she wore a short wedding dress w/ killer Lou Loubie heels?

With the wine flowing + having Pleasantry serving up a family style meal, this one was for the books! For the florals, we wanted to show off spring, but without it being too garden-like. Greenery seems to be the rage, but Jaclyn wanted there to be minimal greenery in a lot of the design + fun pops of color. She loves yellow + Sunny Meadows Flower Farm sent in some beautiful poppies for her bridal bouquet that were blooming just in time. We sourced as much as we could for this wedding from local flower farms. It’s always been a part of our motto to support local in any way we can for every event we do to help give back to our community + showcase the rich agriculture in Ohio.

A huge shoutout to the EFC team for making every detail perfect on this day! We had a lot of installations in the cocktail area + ceremony space that day + they knocked it out of the park. The designs were stunning + everything I dreamed up for Jaclyn + Alex’s big day.

As guests enjoyed the cocktail hour in the Annex Space, they were welcomed with a stairway installation of florals growing up the steps.

To Jaclyn + Alex, from clients to great friends, I’m grateful for you choosing EFC for your big day, but even more for the friendship we have built through the process. Congratulations, well wishes + Mazel tov!

Ceremony location: Red River Gorge

Reception location: Rhinegeist Brewery, Over the Rhine, Cincinnati

REAL WEDDING: Aana + Jeremy, The Transept, Over the Rhine, Cincinnati

Aana + Jeremy got married New Year's Eve weekend in Over-the-Rhine. Aana is originally from Cincinnati, but her + Jeremy reside in Chicago now. Each detail depicted their style perfectly. The bridesmaids all wore white pantsuits in different varieties with striking greenery bouquets + Aana's bouquet was gathered with a hand-made black silk ribbon trail from local designer, The Lesser Bear

They got married at The Transept across from Washington Park where the sun catches the light on the stained glass windows as the sun goes down. It was the perfect time for lighting candles + an intimate, cozy ceremony gathered by friends + family.

Their day was beautifully captured by Josh and Christy from Eleven 11 Photography + it was the perfect ending to a wonderfully successful wedding season flowering for Cincinnati. 2018 is going to be big, y'all + I can't wait to share all that is to come.
