REAL WEDDING: Blake + Tyler, Crossroads Uptown, Cincinnati, Ohio

Blake and Tyler had the most beautiful, unique wedding filled with so many classic details, family and friends in Cincinnati this fall. Their day was captured by Hannah from Hearts + Color Co.  and their wedding party is probably one of the largest we have ever designed for-28 people! Their wedding palette was the perfect blend of moody and mauvey with deep navy. burnished gold and brass accents and bridesmaids each wearing a mix of jewel tones. Natural greenery accented the space and friends and family gathered under the stars after the ceremony in the church courtyard.

'Tis the Season Dinner Party: Memorial Hall + Native Iris Photography

Fall in love with the historic charm of Memorial Hall in Cincinnati. After being closed for nearly 2 years, the doors have opened and the stage is set for parties, events and weddings of all sizes. Celebrate the season with this photoshoot that was featured on Party Slate. Check out photos below and the team of vendors involved for making this day so magical!

Lonely Bouquet Day

On one bright, sunshiney Sunday morning I teamed up with some lady bosses in our community to spread a little love. I think people sometimes forget that a simple gesture of kindness can go a long way and participating in the Lonely Bouquet movement was just what the doctor ordered. Genesis came along as I filled up a basket of bouquets and walked around our neighborhood of Over-the-Rhine and passed out bouquets. We gave some to police officers, left them on bus stops, even outside of Holtman's donuts (I obviously splurged on a bacon caramel cake donut-can you really resist something like that?) and we peeked around the corner to see the smiles on people's faces as they surprisingly picked them up to take them home. It was such a sweet gift to hand out those smiles and I hope we continue the tradition in our city for years to come. Check out photos from our day below! Enjoy!

Hand-lettered cards: Pied Paper Goods

Genesis from Pied Paper Goods made these adorable hand-letterd cards to accompany each bouquet that coordinated so well with our floral choices.

These were placed right outside of Cincinnati's new streetcar stop. Genesis messaged me later on to tell me that she saw a girl pick it up and looked around as if someone left it there by mistake! I think gift-giving might be my love language!

Fluid Industrial Inspiration

This photoshoot was arranged and organized as a part of our local chapter of Rising Tide Society. Rising tide society is all about empowering the creative community of entrepreneurs with resources to help fuel their business, but it's also about creating a community over competition. Our belief is that we can do greater good with the strength of numbers rather than worrying about competing with the next business.

This photoshoot was an opportunity for Cincinnati creatives to get together to build something unique and beautiful as a gathering of friends putting their super powers together! There were several photographers, florists, a ceramic artist, wedding planners, bakeries and other creatives involved in this photoshoot. It was amazing to be a part of and I could not wait to share some photos with you!

FRIDA Inspiration

I love any opportunity to use COLOR. Many of the weddings we design for in Cincinnati are more traditional with a clean, crisp palette so it's not everyday I am challenged to work with some funky fun florals for projects. Nikita Gross asked me to participate in a photoshoot with a gorgeous couple at one of my favorite restaurants in town, Frida 602. They have the best chips and salsa I think I have ever had in my life and their decor is the perfect mix of southwestern art and modern, in your face fiesta!

Any brides out there interested in something more unique than a typical bridal gown? How about a red ball gown instead? It's your wedding, how will you tell your story?

See more photos below from this beautiful day with some great people!

Most of the florals for this photoshoot were hand-picked that morning from the surrounding neighborhoods (I had permission I promise).

You can't have a FRIDA-inspired photoshoot without a tasteful flower crown, right?

The groom's boutonniere complemented his lapis textured suit and her dress so well!

Mezcal for days!
